Arsenal are in direct contact with the representatives of Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior over a potential transfer this summer, according to HandofArsenal.

The Gunners have already signed a new left winger in Christos Tzolis, but they are still keen on landing a marquee signing before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Madrid star Vinicius has emerged as a prime target in recent days and HandofArsenal claims that direct contact has been made with his agency Roc Nation this week.

The Gunners have informed them that they are prepared to meet the huge financial demands of the Brazilian, should he not agree on a suitable renewal with Madrid.

For now, Arsenal are playing the waiting game and only time will tell whether they can secure the signature of one of the world’s best left-sided wingers this summer.

Madrid are unlikely to sell him on the cheap despite his contract expiring next summer. Arsenal would need to pay at least Â£137m for a deal.
