‘Breaking down industry silos and exploring forces shaping the future’ on the agenda at new London event

Future Forum, an event bringing together leaders across industry sectors to discuss the forces shaping societies and economies, is taking place in London this week.

The gathering aims to address big world challenges and come up with strategies to turn ideas into growth by putting different perspectives in the same room.

The agenda is shaped around six themes including creativity and culture, the impact of AI on work, innovation and growth in different places and sustainability and the environment.

Speakers included former chancellor and Open AI’s head of countries George Osborne, prresident of the World Federation of Advertisers David Wheldon, former UK minister of investment Lord Jason Stockwood, CEO of Innovate Finance Janine Hirt, principal of The BRIT School Stuart Worden, co-founder of Elvis & Kresse Kresse Wesling, and CEO and founder of Fashion Roundtable Tamara Cincik.

The daytime programme is at Town Hall by Bottaccio in King’s Cross on 14-15 October. Other venues are Abbey Road Studios, Liberty, and Ronnie Scott’s.

Matt Scheckner, chairman and founder of Future Forum, said:

“Too often, conversations about the future happen within defined boundaries and constituents with inherent familiarity. Future Forum was conceived to break down silos and foster collaboration with a fundamental belief that the best stuff rests in between; by enabling the unexpected and uniting leaders with very distinct perspectives. And while we are tackling a broad range of serious challenges, it’s with an absolute positive spirit and a sense of the possible vs. the daily cycle of doom and gloom.”

Lord Leong, small business minister, said:

“I’m proud to support Future Forum in bringing together talented people from business, technology and the creative industries. Connecting entrepreneurs with fresh ideas, expertise and partners can help turn ambition into successful businesses.

”Backing innovators and entrepreneurs is central to our mission to grow the economy. Britain has the talent and creativity to lead in the industries of tomorrow. Events like Future Forum can help translate that potential into investment, good jobs and opportunities across the country.”
