Supporters in Cape Verde say they are proud of their national team despite a 3-2 defeat to Argentina which ended their World Cup hopes on Friday evening.
One fan said it had been “beautiful” to see what they have achieved in the country’s first time at the tournament, while another said Cape Verde had shown the nation was “stronger than anything”.
Supporters praised the players’ spirit and said reaching knockout stages was a historic achievement.
