A popular WWE Superstar is all set to return to singles action after a gap of six months. He shared a social media update ahead of the match and gave himself a new name.
The star in question is former WWE Tag Team Champion Ivar. He wrestled Damian Priest in a singles match last week. However, the bout will air later tonight on the October 28 edition of WWE Main Event.
Thanks for the submission!
Ivar recently posted a match graphic promoting his one-on-one contest against The Archer of Infamy. In the caption, he referred to himself as “SINGLES STAR IVAR.” The 42-year-old further noted that he would be in singles action for only a limited period of time.
“ATTENTION: Now showing, SINGLES STAR IVAR, for a limited time only,” Ivar wrote.

While Ivar joined forces with his tag team partner, Erik, to compete with The MFTs earlier this month on Friday Night SmackDown, he hadn’t wrestled a singles match since before WrestleMania 42. He defeated Psycho Clown on a pre-taped AAA show that aired on April 18.
WWE Superstar Ivar recalled getting legitimately injured
Ivar suffered a legitimate cervical injury during an eight-man tag team match between The Hurt Business and the team of The Viking Raiders, Apollo Crews & Ricochet on the September 7, 2020, episode of Monday Night RAW. Ivar went under the knife a week later and was absent from WWE programming for several months.
On September 6 earlier this year, Ivar shared multiple pictures of himself taken during the period of his injury. In the caption, he opened up to share more details about the injury, revealing that two discs exploded into his spinal cord, which resulted in temporary paralysis.
“6 years ago today 2 discs basically exploded into my spinal cord suffering temporary paralysis and resulting in a 2 level spinal fusion of c5 and c6 and c6 and c7. Fortunate and grateful for every day i have in and out of the ring,” Ivar wrote.
Erik and Ivar lost the AAA World Tag Team Championship to The Wagner Brothers last month. It will be interesting to see if they can work their way back to tag team gold.
