Bath make seven changes for the visit of Exeter as they prepare for their first home game since the Devon side won at The Rec in June’s Prem semi-final.

Ciaran Donoghue is named at full-back in three changes to the backs, as centre Cameron Redpath and scrum-half Bernard van der Linde come in to partner Finn Russell in the half-backs.

Tom Dunn is named at hooker while Guy Pepper comes in for injured England flanker Sam Underhill as Ewan Richards and Quin Roux are also brought into the pack.

Exeter welcome back Tommy Wyatt after a minor shoulder problem as he gets his first Prem start since a serious knee injury in May 2025.

He comes in on the wing as Olly Woodburn moves to full-back with Ben Hammersley dropping out.

They are the only changes to an Exeter side that suffered a surprise 45-24 loss at home to Gloucester last week.

Bears prop Jake Woolmore comes in for Ellis Genge, who misses out with a sprained wrist picked up against Sale that is likely to keep him out for two to three weeks, while flanker Steven Luatua starts having come on from the bench a week ago.

Saints came away with a record-breaking 94-33 win when the two sides met in May at Franklin’s Gardens but the Prem champions have not won at Ashton Gate since 2021.

After scoring a hat-trick last week against Newcastle, Tommy Freeman moves to full-back with Ollie Sleightholme coming onto the wing. In the back row Josh Taylor gets his first Prem start with Callum Chick moving to the bench.

Gloucester have been forced into changes to their back line following injuries sustained by Phil Cokanasiga and Ben Redshaw in the win against Exeter.

Cokanasiga had surgery on a foot injury earlier this week and may be out until January, while Redshaw failed a head injury assessment following the Exeter match.

George Barton and Ollie Thorley start at full-back and wing respectively, while Will Joseph shifts inside to centre.

Harlequins are again without fly-half Marcus Smith because of a finger injury, although head coach Jason Gilmore has said the England international should return within the next two weeks.

Prop Fin Baxter (foot) could also be back within the same timeframe, while full-back George Furbank is available again after a head injury and will make his first Prem appearance for Quins since joining from Northampton in the summer.

Gloucester: Barton; Thorley, Joseph, S Atkinson, Loader; C Atkinson, Englefield; Rapava-Ruskin, Lake (c), Fasogbon, Kleyn, Clark, Thomas, Morgan, Trenholm.

Replacements: Innard, Bleuler, C Knight, Clement, Ludlow, Robson, W Knight, Denny.

Harlequins: Furbank; Anderson, Beard, Bradley, Murley (c); Slevin, Porter; Hobson, Walker, Delgado, Dun, Browne, Kenningham, Evans, Carr.

Replacements: Riley, Wenger, Kerrod, Petti, Cunningham-South, Friday, Lang, Green.

Newcastle v Leicester (Saturday, 19:45 BST)

Former New Zealand international Hoskins Sotutu makes his first start for Newcastle Red Bulls when they host Leicester Tigers on Saturday.

The number eight replaces Sam Graham, who drops to the bench, while the only other change to Newcastle’s starting XV will be on the wing where Obi Ene comes in for his league debut for the club after Werner Kok was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

James Thompson and Orlando Bailey start for Leicester Tigers on their trip to Kingston Park, having both come off the bench in their opening weekend defeat by Saracens.

An injury suffered by Finn Carnduff in the narrow loss not only means Thompson takes his place in the pack, but it has also prompted Tom Manz to be called from his season-long loan deal with Cardiff Blues to take his place among Tigers’ replacements.

Newcastle Red Bulls: Obatoyinbo; Wade, Hearle, Harris, Ene; Connon, Elliott; Rakete-Stones, McGuigan, Millar Mills; Usher, Jordan, Hicks, Christie (c), Sotutu.

Replacements: Fletcher, Brocklebank, Harper, Molina, Leatherbarrow, Graham, Benítez Cruz, Henry.

Leicester Tigers: Steward, Radwan, Kata, Bailey, Hamer-Webb; Searle, Van Poortvliet (c); Vunipola, Moli, Heyes; Thompson, Henderson, Wainwright, Reffell, Cracknell.

Replacements: Thunder, Haffar, Hurd, Manz, Moro, Whiteley, Wand, Hassell-Collins.

Saracens v Sale (Sunday, 15:00 BST)

Saracens make two changes to their back line, with Sione Va’enuku and Jack Bracken replacing injured duo Olly Hartley and Tobias Elliott.

Nick Isiekwe’s red card in the win at Leicester was rescinded at a disciplinary hearing earlier this week and he starts in the back row, while England lock George Martin is on the bench and is set to make his Prem debut for Saracens following his summer move from Leicester.

Two of Sale’s four changes are in the front row, with Nicky Smith replacing injured Bevan Rodd at prop and Nathan Jibulu starting in place of England hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie.

Gus Warr is in at scrum-half for Xavier Roe, who has returned to New Zealand for the birth of his first child, while Alex Lozowski replaces injured Rekeiti Ma’asi-White at centre.

Saracens: Daly; J Bracken, Tompkins, Va’enuku, Segun; Burke, Williams; Mawi, Dan, Street, Itoje (c), Tizard, Isiekwe, Gonzalez, Barbeary.

Replacements: Clarke, O’Driscoll, Clarey, Martin, Michelow, Earl, C Bracken, Malins.

Sale: Carpenter; O’Flaherty, Marchant, Lozowski, Reed; Ford, Warr; Smith, Jibulu, Opoku-Fordjour, Van Rhyn (c), Bamber, Lawes, Curry, Vermeulen.

Replacements: Caine, McIntyre, Francis, Tshiunza, Canakaivata, Hanson, Louw, Loganimasi.
