The Nations Championship begins this weekend with six fixtures to get us under way.

The new global competition sees 12 of the best national teams face off against each other in something akin to a battle of the hemispheres.

It’s north versus south, with England, France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Italy going up against South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Japan and Fiji.

Two pool stages will take place – in the summer and autumn – before a finals weekend at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham at the end of the year.
