“I’m coming back to do things right” – WWE star shares bold future plans

Big Cass seems to be ready to do whatever WWE asks of him. 40-year-old was recently on The Sal Licata show and was asked if a big push was coming for him.

The former AEW star has found a second lease on life in WWE, and he isn’t taking anything for granted. Cass brought up speaking to Triple H about his future, and he just wants to enjoy the ride:

Thanks for the submission!

“It’s funny. I just talked to Hunter about all this the other day. Just what you’re talking about, the dirt sheets and everything. I’m coming back with the attitude of I’m here to do business. I fell short of my own expectations as a professional the first time. I’m coming back to do business. I’m coming back to do things right. Whatever the company needs is what they’re going to get out of me.”

Cass’ first run ended in June 2018, after a SmackDown stretch that included a program with Daniel Bryan, and he has described it as falling short of his own expectations.

While his first stint with the company didn’t go as planned, this time around, Cass is willing to do anything and everything:

“Whether the company needs me to come out first every night and open the show, that’s what they’re going to get 100% of. If they need me to close the show, they’re going to get 100%. If they need me to do the popcorn match, they’re going to get 100%.”

Cass also brought up how negativity sells more than a good story, but all he wants to do is work hard and make the best of the opportunity he has been given:

“So the negativity sells and I’m sure it gets clicks. So, I’m there to do the best that I can with what I’m giving him the up, what Hunter’s position he’s putting me in, and we’ll see where that goes. I’m here for the ride, baby. I’m here to take this ride, do things right this time, put my head down, work hard, and do the best that I can with what I’m given and what’s expected of me. We’ll see where things go.”

Big Cass’s road back to WWE through the independents, Impact Wrestling and AEW

After the 2018 release, Big Cass worked the independent scene and resurfaced in Impact Wrestling in 2021 as W. Morrissey and wrestled Moose for the Impact World Championship at No Surrender in February 2022. AEW signed him later that year, where he became Big Bill.

That run produced a title. Bill and Ricky Starks beat FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the October 7, 2023 episode of Collision, held the belts for 123 days and lost them to Sting and Darby Allin in February 2024.

WWE has since paired him with Ethan Page. They beat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee in their first match as a team on the October 26 episode of WWE Raw, Page finishing with the Ego Plex after Cass landed a big boot.
