With clear a night the glowing Strawberry Moon was a spectacle above the skies over Hampshire and Dorset.

Marking the first full Moon of the summer season its name comes from the time of year it appears, not its colour.

It appeared full in the night sky on Monday and is set to be visible again tonight.

Plenty of people stayed up late to try and take the perfect shot of the full moon, the lowest-hanging in the sky, here are some of their pictures.
