Lazio vs Cagliari Prediction and Betting Tips | November 1st 2026

This post was originally published on this site.

High-flying Lazio will be aiming to take the lead at the top of the Italian Serie A table when they play host to Cagliari at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday. In stark contrast, the visitors head into the weekend in need of a lift, having managed just one point from their last four league outings.

Lazio maintained their stellar league run with another dominant team display in midweek when they hammered Sassuolo 6-2 at the Mapei Stadium on Tuesday.

Thanks for the submission!

Gennaro Gattuso’s men have now won five Serie A games on the bounce and are one of just three sides yet to lose a league game this season, picking up eight wins and one draw to sit level on 25 points with Inter Milan at the top of the table.

Key to Lazio’s promising start to the campaign has been the solid job done at both ends of the pitch, having conceded a league-low seven goals while finding the back of the net 22 times — only Inter Milan (25) and AS Roma (23) have scored more.

On the other hand, Cagliari were left empty-handed yet again last Tuesday when they fell to a 4-2 defeat against Roma after conceding twice in the final five minutes at the Stadio Olimpico.

What seemed like a resurgent spell of three wins and one draw from four matches has started to unravel for Fabio Pisacane’s side, who have now lost their subsequent three games, suffering defeats against Monza, Bologna and Roma.

Despite their recent struggles, Cagliari remain well rooted in the mid-table, as they sit 10th in the Serie A standings with 13 points from nine games, level on points with ninth-placed Torino.

  • Lazio are unbeaten in their last five Serie A home matches, picking up four wins and one draw since a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan on May 9.

Lazio vs Cagliari Prediction

A run of three consecutive defeats has seen momentum take a nosedive for Cagliari, and they are in for another tough 90 minutes against a Lazio side yet to suffer defeat this season.

Gattuso’s men have been imperious in the history of this fixture, and we are backing them to extend their dominance against the visitors.

Prediction: Lazio 3-1 Cagliari
