Manchester United left-back Patrick Dorgu is unlikely to be deemed fit for the Premier League clash against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils have had a dismal league campaign thus far and they have picked up only seven points after nine matches into the season.
United ended a nine-match winless streak by beating Roma in the Champions League but the pressure remains on manager Michael Carrick.
A defeat on Sunday could see him dismissed from the helm during the international break. A draw may see him sacked as well.
Ahead of the game, he won’t be able to rely on the services of Dorgu despite the Dane returning to training after a hamstring injury.
The left-back has been working with the team over the past week but United are not prepared to take any risks with the youngster.
Hence, he is poised to miss the weekend’s game at Old Trafford. Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui could start at left-back with Luke Shaw injured.
