Manchester United suffered a fresh injury blow during the 3-2 Premier League win over Liverpool at Old Trafford yesterday.

The Red Devils booked their spot in the Champions League with a hard-fought win over the Reds. Kobbie Mainoo bagged a late winner.

Benjamin Sesko scored the second goal of the contest, but he did not take the field after half-time after picking up a fresh knock to his shin.

The same was confirmed by manager Michael Carrick after the game and he is now doubtful for the trip to Sunderland this weekend.

The Slovenian had a slow start to the campaign with the Red Devils, but he has picked up form and scored 12 goals in all competitions.

The former RB Leipzig man will want to end the campaign on a strong note and hopefully, he can recover before the trip to Wearside.

If Sesko is sidelined, Joshua Zirkzee could be an option to lead the line. Otherwise, Bryan Mbeumo could play as a makeshift striker.
