Man Utd weighing up move for German striker

Manchester United are reportedly considering the prospect of signing Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi when the transfer window reopens this winter.

The Red Devils currently have Benjamin Sesko as the regular centre-forward, but he has been on the sidelines with a nagging shin injury.

The Slovenian has suffered a recurrence of the concern from May and reports claim that he could be on the sidelines for the rest of the year.

Amidst this, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have been utilised as makeshift options, while Joshua Zirkzee has barely played.

Zirkzee is the back-up striker in the squad, but manager Michael Carrick does not seem convinced that he should lead the line for the club.

It is now claimed that United are lining up a move for Tresoldi, who could come in as a replacement for Zirkzee at the start of next year.

Brugge, however, are insistent that he won’t head for the exit door and could hold out for a staggering £60m to entertain a winter transfer.
