Chelsea winger Morgan Rogers has said that the Blues stamped their authority after their 2-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had a difficult first half against the Red Devils earlier today, and they could have easily conceded if United were better with their overall finishing.
However, the hosts were much better after the interval. Rogers scored a wonderful individual goal before Cole Palmer doubled the lead from the penalty spot.
Speaking after the game, Rogers said that the result was a massive one for the Blues and they stamped their authority in the second half.
He added: “Massive. A difficult week with a poor result last weekend. We knew we had to come out here strong.
“In the second half, we stamped our authority, and that was really good. We deserved the win.”
With the win, the Blues have jumped to fourth in the league standings. As things stand, they are five points adrift of table-toppers Manchester City.
