The British Grand Prix will remain on the MotoGP World Championship calendar until at least 2028.

MotoGP has extended its partnership with Silverstone, which hosts the race, to cover the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

The British Grand Prix returned to Silverstone after a 24-year absence in 2010, having previously been held at Donington Park.

This year’s race will take place on Sunday, 9 August – the 12th of 22 races in the 2026 calendar.

Italy’s Marco Bezzecchi, currently fourth in the MotoGP standings, won at Silverstone last season.

Silverstone also hosts Formula 1 and the European Le Mans Series, and will return to the FIA World Endurance Championship schedule in 2027.

“This renewed partnership secures our place as the undisputed home of elite international racing.”
