Liverpool winger Bradley Barcola was slammed by the French media after his lacklustre performance against Belgium in the Nations League on Monday night.
The 24-year-old started on the left wing for France against Belgium on the road. He had an early attempt on target, but barring that, he could not influence proceedings.
He was eventually substituted in the 77th minute and replaced by Michael Olise, who went on to score a late winner with a sublime solo move.
After the game, French outlet Ouest-France were far from pleased by Barcola’s showing and said that he had ‘nothing to show’ for his lively start.
They went on to mention his lack of impact in the final third and handed him the lowest rating of 4/10 for his performance against the Red Devils.
Barcola is likely to be dropped to the bench when France host Italy. Desire Doue and Olise are expected to start in the wide attacking positions.
