The Ospreys are holding their weekly pre-match press conference today, with head coach Mark Jones to face the media as his bosses remain silent on the storm engulfing Welsh rugby.
Jones will speak to journalists ahead of Friday’s match against the Lions – a fixture that has been completely overshadowed by the dramatic events of this week. It emerged on Monday the WRU board has chosen Ospreys owners Y11 as their preferred new owners of Cardiff.
That decision has cast huge doubt over the club remaining in its current form, with the WRU insistent only three sides can be afforded going forwarded. It remains unclear what will happen next, with Y11 and the Ospreys hierarchy so far silent despite huge anger and anxiety among supporters and players, who have now gone public with their concerns.
