The Philadelphia Eagles were looking to end their slump against a mediocre Dallas Cowboys squad marred by bad coaching and an even worse defense on Monday. Instead, they were routed 21-38 after not scoring in the fourth quarter, and one scene seemingly previewed the embarrassment that was to come.

During the first quarter, third-year nickelback Cooper DeJean failed to prevent CeeDee Lamb from catching this touchdown.

“Cooper DeJean has been playing historically bad. He’s playing himself right out of a contract,” one lamented.

“Hot take: Trade DeJean at deadline. Do not pay him big money,” another suggested.

“Let Cooper DeJean walk after his contract is up,” another concurred.

“CeeDee just cooked that fraud Cooper DeJean,” one snickered.

“I feel like Cooper DeJean doesn’t get an extension this offseason,” one predicted.

“Cooper DeJean cost himself a lot of money this season,” another opined.

Tanner McKee provided an average performance under center for the Eagles, completing 23 of 35 attempts for 211 yards and a touchdown to rookie Makai Lemon against an interception to DeMarvion Overshown. Running backs Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce had a rushing touchdown each.

Meanwhile, for the Cowboys, Prescott finished with 15 completions for 212 yards and three touchdowns. Lamb caught another one after his first, and George Pickens did the same. Javonte Williams was also dominant, rushing for a career-high 155 yards and a score.
