It comes as NS&I celebrates 70 years since Premium Bonds first went on sale.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I retail director, said: “Seventy years ago in November 1956, the first Premium Bonds went on sale, marking the beginning of what has become one of the nation’s best-loved savings products.
“It’s fantastic to celebrate this milestone with two new millionaires and generations of savers who continue to enjoy the excitement of checking if they have won tax-free prizes each month.”

How to check if you’ve won in October’s prize draw
The two £1 million winners are notified in person by NS&I’s Agent Million each month.
Winners of the £100,000 and lower Premium Bonds prizes can check if they have won the day after the first working day of each month. For November 2026, that date is 3 November.
You can do this by using the Premium Bonds prize checker app, visiting the NS&I website or via Amazon Alexa.
The prize checker app and website will show you prizes you’ve won that month, anything you’ve won in the previous six draws and any older prizes you haven’t claimed yet.
Make sure you have your bond number or NS&I number so you can access your account.
There is no time limit to claim an unclaimed Premium Bonds prize so you should check if you’ve won anything before and didn’t realise, even if you bought the Premium Bonds years ago.
NS&I reveals half-year results
NS&I unveiled its half-year results on 28 October.
They show that NS&I delivered £3 billion of net financing to the government in the three months to September 2026, bringing its half-year total to £4 billion.
NS&I’s target for the 2026/27 tax year is £15 billion, plus or minus £4 billion.
Sarah Coles, head of personal finance at investment platform AJ Bell, said NS&I was more likely than before to get close to its £15 billion target for 2026/27 due to two factors.
“For anyone paying tax on a chunk of their savings interest – particularly higher or additional rate taxpayers – the allure of Premium Bonds starts to make more sense, because of the tax-free status of the prizes,” Coles said.
“The relative attraction of Premium Bonds in this scenario could help boost the coffers of NS&I without it having to hike rates across its products again.”
