The opening segment of this week’s WWE RAW saw Sami Zayn interrupt Adam Pearce to start his fiery speech. However, he was confronted by Je’Von Evans, which ultimately led to Pearce sanctioning an impromptu championship match between the two.
During the match, Penta attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. However, he was attacked by Bron Breakker before he could make a move. Sami then took advantage of a distraction and secured the three counts. After the bout, The Vision brutally laid out the masked star and The Young OG.
Thanks for the submission!
A new backstage report has claimed that this segment was entirely Paul Heyman’s idea. ON a “Self Made Session,” Self Made Pro reported that Paul Heyman pitched the idea of bringing Sami Zayn, Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed together for the opening segment of RAW. However, Heyman was not necessarily responsible for writing Zayn’s promo or producing the entire segment.
“I was directly told that the opening of RAW — specifically Sami Zayn’s promo, Je’Von Evans coming out, having a match with Sami, and the postmatch involving Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed — was told this was the brainwork of Paul Heyman in terms of pitching things for these to happen.
“Not in terms of producing the segments or writing, but in terms of making the pitch for these people to be involved with each other. That was a Paul Heyman thing, and he had a lot of influence on the show overall.”
Although Paul Heyman reportedly didn’t write every line of Zayn’s promo backstage, he was behind the overall idea of the segment. Given reports of his influence on other parts of WWE RAW, this may not have been the only segment where Heyman played a role.
The Vision to Defend World Tag Team Titles Against Penta and Je’Von Evans at WWE Crown Jewel
The WWE RAW attack has set the stage for a major tag team clash at Crown Jewel, as Penta and Je’Von Evans will now challenge The Vision for the World Tag Team Championship.
The match presents an opportunity for both stars to capture tag team gold, while The Vision will aim to prove their dominance by retaining the titles. However, the champions could face trouble if Penta and Evans manage to put aside their differences and work together.
A victory for the challengers would also deal a significant blow to The Vision and potentially create tension within the faction.
