The new venue for WWE Crown Jewel 2026 has reportedly been revealed. The premium live event is still scheduled to take place in Riyadh.
WWE Crown Jewel was previously scheduled to air from the Riyadh Season Stadium inside the King Abdullah Financial District. However, earlier today, Riyadh Season’s official X (formerly Twitter) account announced that the event will take place at a different venue. Notably, the new location wasn’t disclosed.
Thanks for the submission!
Moments ago, popular wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer tweeted that the much-talked-about premium live event has been moved to the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia’s capital city.
“As of right now, the Crown Jewel show is being moved to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, the same place Saturday’s Canelo fight is taking place. So still in the city. Was also emphasized to me that is ‘that of this hour,'” Meltzer wrote.
Backstage morale ahead of WWE Crown Jewel is reportedly in disarray
There has been a lot of chatter around Crown Jewel, mainly due to the recent attacks on civilian airports and critical infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. The US Embassy in Riyadh also issued a security advisory earlier this week urging US citizens to be cautious when using any airports in Riyadh.
During a recent live Q&A session on Fightful Select, WrestleVotes reported that a longtime source described the backstage atmosphere as being in “absolute disarray” heading into the premium live event.
“This is a guy I was talking to Saturday night — very knowledgeable, been in WWE for a long time, and has a good pulse on what’s going on there. It is absolute disarray within the people who work there. Everything, including going into this PLE, not knowing if it’s happening or if it’s gonna move. Waiting on a moment’s notice to see if things are changed. It’s really from the top down where these decisions are gonna be made. The fact that everything going on with Saudi Arabia is chaotic and dangerous, and the potential of talent being sent over there in planes — God forbid something happens to them — the situation is really scary. It’s a very helpless feeling to not have any safeguards in place,” WrestleVotes noted. [H/T: Ringside News]
In addition to the traditional Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Matches, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton are scheduled to lock horns at the premium live event in a Last Man Standing Match.
Elsewhere on the card, Penta and Je’Von Evans will challenge The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the World Tag Team Championship.
