There is now a huge update on a WWE legend’s future after he recently confirmed his retirement. This will throw a wrench in the works on how the company will operate.
The legend being discussed is none other than Bruce Prichard. Prichard is one of WWE’s most well known backstage names. He is crucial to how shows are planned and is one of the company’s most powerful men. It was reported by PWInsider that he plans to retire after Wrestlemania 43.
Thanks for the submission!
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select now has an update on the future of Bruce Prichard. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote:
“Bruce Prichard’s plan is to work from home following a very serious surgery that he needs, Fightful Select has learned. PWInsider had reported that he plans to retire, but as things stand, it looks like he could remain with the company, in a more remote position when the time comes. Prichard has been running shows the last couple of weeks with Triple H on vacation. A LOT more details on his retirement now available for select subscribers, with free trials now available.”
Vince Russo says WWE man Bruce Prichard is the best greatest storyteller
Vince Russo does not mince his words when it comes to all things wrestling. He spoke exclusively with Sportskeeda when he hailed Bruce Prichard as the greatest storyteller in wrestling and WWE.
“Greatest storyteller I ever met in wrestling, and I will also say this. Bro, I was a producer. That was half of my job. I produced all those vignettes. I produced all those talents. Okay? Me. I produced them, but I will sit here and tell you, Bruce Prichard was far and away the best producer I ever worked with. Ever. And let me tell you why, Mac. No matter who Bruce was producing, he would get in their character. If Bruce is producing Paul Bearer, he’s Paul Bearer. If Bruce is producing Taker, he becomes Taker. He was unbelievable at that. Bruce was a great producer, great storyteller, very entertaining, but a politician just being in the business for so long,” Russo said.
His retirement will leave a gaping hole in WWE and Triple H will hope that he is able to fill the gap which is left by Prichard.
