The new campaign is inching ever closer, with clubs already back in pre-season training.
Another year of uncertainty has affected recruitment in Wales, with squad-building still taking place even at this relatively late stage. Wales fly-half Gareth Anscombe was the latest piece of confirmed business, joining the Scarlets after his return from France.
The Welsh Rugby Union remain committed to their plans to cut a professional team by 2028 – with the uncertainty that has brought resulting in the likes of Jac Morgan, Dewi Lake and Aaron Wainwright heading over the border.
