Meet the new and improved Weekender from Béis, TikTok’s favorite luggage brand. Relaunched in July 2026, Shay Mitchell took some of the internet’s biggest critiques of the OG Weekender into consideration, redesigning a carryall that’s easier to pack and more comfortable to carry. Flager, who has been using the original best-selling model since 2021, wanted to see how the two bags compared, so she brought both on a recent trip to Rhode Island.
“I was able to fit everything for my three-night, four-day trip into both bags, but with a bit more breathing room in the new one,” she says. The new, sleeker model actually looks a bit bigger, with small tweaks that make traveling with it a lot smoother. “Because of the wiring, the old bag used to dig into my armpit when carrying it by the shoulder straps; the newer, longer straps and frameless structure avoid this,” says Flager.
Other upgrades we’re excited about: more padding on the crossbody strap, stretchy interior pockets keep things more contained, and the base of the bag is now made with a sturdy canvas material to reduce visible wear.
“I do think the new model is superior to the original,” says Flager. “Many of the tweaks make it feel more current, and more comfortable to carry.” Given its size, Flager doesn’t recommend flying with it; it’s a true weekender bag—designed to tossed into the back of your car and carried right to your Airbnb for a few days away. But as a road trip (or train travel) bag, this roomy Weekender certainly delivers.
