The Jonathan Taylor trade situation seems to be getting more bizarre by the day. In recent days, Taylor has been available and unavailable, leading to confusion about whether he is actually on the trade block. In such circumstances, it is customary for the team to shut down the player in question. Instead, the Colts have decided to keep Taylor on the field.
The confusion led to apparent frustration for former Chargers defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko, who delivered a rant on social media in response to the situation. Fehoko levied his criticism directly at Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon.

“They protected that owner because of her gender but what she is doing is absolute malpractice,” Fehoko posted. “How do you say we ain’t shopping Taylor then go back on your word and say ‘nvm we’re open to receiving calls’ but you now play him cause you feel like you can still win the south.”

Fehoko didn’t elaborate on who “they” were, and offered no concrete examples of the alleged gender favoritism in the post, leaving fans to fill in the blank.
Entering Week 8, Taylor has earned eight touchdowns on the ground, the most in the NFL. The running back’s eight touchdowns are the fifth-most he has earned in a single season in his career, with the majority of the year to go. According to Spotrac, the running back is playing on a $44 million deal.
Conflicting reports raise questions about Jonathan Taylor trade probability
On Sunday, reports have varied wildly about whether the Colts are actively seeking to trade Jonathan Taylor. Within the span of a few hours, two major reporters offered two very different stances on Indianapolis’ plans to trade Taylor.
Reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala delivered the most recent update in a video clip posted on X on Sunday. In the NFL on CBS Sports clip, she reported that she had been “assured” that Taylor was going nowhere.
“I have been assured by the Colts that they are not soliciting offers for the running back and that they are not actively seeking to move him,” Kinkhabwala said.
Earlier that morning, NFL insider Jordan Schultz had reported on X that sources told him that several teams were in the running to trade for Taylor. He also reported that a trade is “more likely than not.”
“As the #Colts continue to field trade offers for star RB Jonathan Taylor, sources say the Vikings, Giants, Broncos, Bengals and Packers are among the teams that have checked in,” Schultz posted. “The asking price is believed to be too high right now, but sources do believe a trade is leaning to be more likely than not at this point.”
At this point, there seems to be little certainty about what is going to happen to the Indianapolis Colts running back. At the end of the day, depending on what happens, one of the reports will be correct, and one will be wrong.
Fans will have to wait to see which is which.
