Jalen Hurts’s mom, Pamela Hurts, has grown emotional over all the overwhelming support her family has received from fans while the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback deals with his severe health condition.
On Monday, she posted a TikTok video thanking fans for their support while showing all the letters and cards she received recently. The NFL reposted the video on its Instagram account.

“OK, I must try not to cry,” she said in the video. “The district is making today Jalen Hurts Day in support of Jalen. Everybody has on their green, and I have all these cards, which I am gonna read every last one of them.

“Oh my goodness, in support, well wishes to Jalen. But it takes a village, and I am thankful for my village; I really am.”

Jalen Hurts‘ life-threatening medical condition has caused major debate in the football community, with fans calling out the Philadelphia Eagles for not handling the situation the right way.
On Sunday, the National Football League Players Association released a joint statement with the NFL, saying that there’ll be a formal investigation into how the Eagles handled their quarterback’s blood clot situation.
“The NFL and NFL Players Association are working together to review the matter. The communication is underway regarding the investigation that the union called for into how this was handled with Hurts. It’s taking some time, this is a big endeavor, obviously. But the sides have begun the communication to figure out the logistics of how this is going to happen,” the statement read.
According to the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the statement also said that there will be a dedicated investigation into the team’s trip to London for the Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Many critics have joined the debate, including Robert Griffin III.

On Wednesday, Annemarie Wiley shared an Instagram reel in which she offered her perspective on the Jalen Hurts news. In the selfie video, she talked about the intensity and seriousness of the quarterback’s condition, noting that she suffered from a similar condition herself.
“This sounds like crazy, crazy medical negligence. So, somebody educate me here. Like, do I have this right? Is this actually what happened? Because, again, as a nurse anesthetist, someone that was married to a former NFL player and someone that’s had DVTs and pulmonary embolisms, this sounds all bad.
“This is just a reminder, guys. I don’t care who you are. You need to advocate for yourself and for your health because no one’s doing it for you. Clearly, even if you’re a professional athlete.”
Apart from Annemarie Wiley, Mike Florio recently offered his stance on the potential negligence by the Eagles in handling Jalen Hurts’ health.
