Water outage forces Chessington theme park to close

Chessington World of Adventures has been forced to close for the day after what the resort described as a water outage in the local area.
The theme park and zoo in south-west London said tickets booked for Monday 10 August would be returned or could be resused.
It did not say what had caused the outage or when it expected to reopen.
The closure falls in the middle of the school summer holidays, one of the busiest periods for UK theme parks.
Chessington apologised for the inconvenience and thanked visitors for their understanding.
The park shut for a day in July 2018 after a burst water main left homes and businesses in the surrounding area without supply or on low pressure.
