Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been included in Portugal’s preliminary squad for the November Nations League matches against Denmark and Wales, according to the press, with the final list due on November 6.
According to Saudi outlet Arriyadiyah, Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in the pre-selection of the Selecao squad for the November Nations League fixtures. Portugal hosts Denmark in Braga on November 14 and travels to Wales three days later, with a quarter-final place already secured.
Thanks for the submission!
The 30-day suspension and €255 fine imposed by the FPF for leaving the camp in Copenhagen on September 30 were backdated, and the ban expired on October 30.
The row began in Oslo. Ronaldo warmed up through much of the second half against Norway on September 27 but never came on, watching Gonçalo Ramos score the winner in a 2-1 victory. In the previous match, he had captained Portugal in a 1-0 win over Wales.
Speaking after the 2-1 win over Norway in Porto on October 4, Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus said:
“If Cris wants to be in the Seleção, why not? In my opinion it was all a misunderstanding and it is an easy question to resolve. If Ronaldo wants to return, it depends only on him.”
He then added:
“He is the one who decides if he wants to come back and what he wants for his life. If everyone wants it, I am open to everything.”
Jesus also set a condition: Ronaldo would be called up if he is playing for Al-Nassr and wants to return. Reports from the same Saudi outlet claimed the FPF had written to Al-Nassr asking for him and João Félix.

The Nations League brought a start and the armband in the 1-0 win over Wales, then 90 minutes on the bench in Oslo. His five World Cup appearances produced three goals and no assists.
The career numbers are bigger: 146 goals and 46 assists in 234 caps. He also has 11 World Cup goals, two more than Eusébio, and is the first man to score at six World Cups. Portugal went out 1-0 to Spain in the round of 16.
