3 major title changes Tony Khan might book in AEW this month

AEW is gearing up to host a number of major events this month, starting with Dynamite: Blood and Guts on Wednesday, which will feature both the men’s and women’s Blood and Guts matches for this year. Afterwards on Saturday, the promotion will take to the seas to host a special edition of Collision on the Jericho Cruise. One week after that, the company will present its upcoming pay-per-view, Full Gear 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.

All Elite Wrestling head honcho Tony Khan has already booked a number of championship bouts for this month. While the November 7 episode of Collision will witness Andrade El Idolo defending his National Title against Tommaso Ciampa, Full Gear is scheduled to feature several matches with gold on the line, including:

  • The Brawling Birds vs Wrathlander for the Women’s World Tag Team Titles
  • The Young Bucks vs Davis and Doyle for the Men’s World Tag Team Titles
  • Hangman Page and Brodido vs Swerve Strickland and the New Level for the World Trios Titles
  • Mercedes Mone vs Marina Shafir for the Women’s World Title
  • Will Ospreay vs Kyle Fletcher for the Men’s World Title

Not all of the aforementioned belts will likely change hands over the course of November. Below, let us consider three AEW title changes that could take place this month, en route to and at Full Gear.

#1. Swerve Strickland and the New Level might regain the AEW World Trios Championships at Full Gear

The AEW World Trios Title landscape has been incredibly hot for the past three months, especially since the New Level debuted at All In: London and captured the belts alongside Swerve Strickland. Alongside the Realest, Austin Creed and Kofi mounted successful defenses of their straps against the Rascalz, the Conglomeration and the Demand before retaining against former champions, Adam Page, Brody King and Bandido, at All Out 2026.

In the aftermath of the “Most Wanted” luchador retaining his ROH World Title against the erstwhile Kofi Kingston, Swerve and the New Level offered to defend their AEW World Trios Titles against Hangman and Brodido at WrestleDream 2026 in a two-out-of-three-falls match, where the belts finally changed hands again. Since then, however, the “Most Dangerous Man” of All Elite Wrestling has been desperate to reclaim their championships, issuing a challenge for Full Gear 2026.

In fact, the former Men’s World Champion approached Page and his teammates backstage demanding that their next title bout be contested as a Texas Death Match, a stipulation the Cowboy rejected despite agreeing to the championship match itself. Strickland’s desperation led him to brutalize Bandido backstage last week on Fright Night AEW Dynamite as an ultimatum to the Hangman, an ambush the New Level claimed they had no hand in planning.

This week, the Texas Death stipulation will very likely be made official for the AEW World Trios Title match at Full Gear 2026. The championships could potentially change hands at the pay-per-view, especially if Tony Khan books Creed and Kofi to turn heel alongside Swerve and reveal them to have been in cahoots all along. The New Level could betray and neutralize Page and “Big Bad” Brody and help Strickland choke Bandido out with a steel chain to win back the trios titles.

#2. Wrathlander could defeat the Brawling Birds for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles at Full Gear

At All Out 2026 this past September, Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter successfully defended their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles against Megan Bayne and Lena Kross in a brutal Chicago Street Fight. Not long after, on Collision: Grand Slam France, the recently reunited duo of Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron defeated the Divine Dominion and the Sisters of Sin in a three-way number one contenders’ bout for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Although the Brawling Birds were supposed to defend their straps against “Wrathlander” at WrestleDream 2026, the match had to be postponed due to Jamie Hayter’s injury. Although their showdown was made official for Full Gear 2026, the champions as well as their challengers were attacked backstage by the Divine Dominion and the Triangle of Madness on the October 21 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Cameron and Statlander tried to avenge themselves on the Megasus and her Colossal partner days later on AEW Collision, but the babyfaces were ambushed yet again by Thekla and the Sisters of Sin, although thankfully, Willow Nightingale arrived and rushed to their aid with a steel chain. The Divine Dominion and the Triangle of Madness are now set to join forces with Persephone to battle Wrathlander, the Brawling Birds, Willow and Queen Aminata in this year’s Women’s Blood and Guts match.

Interestingly, for the past couple of weeks, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor have been absent from All Elite Wrestling programming, a fact that has prompted Cameron and Statlander to voice their apprehension about teaming with the AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions days before their Full Gear title match. This tension between Wrathlander and the Brawling Birds could rear its head and cause issues for the babyface team at Blood and Guts, perhaps even cost them the victory in the bout.

All this could lead to Harley and Stat Daddy dethroning Hayter and Windsor in an upset for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles at Full Gear 2026. Such an angle could be the trigger for a heel turn for the Birds, which Tony Khan seems to have been teasing over the last couple of weeks. Alternatively, this story could end with Jamie and Alex regaining the tag belts from Wrathlander later down the line, which could prompt Statlander to turn on and part ways with Cameron to continue her singles career.

#3. The AEW National Title could change hands before Full Gear, and then again at the pay-per-view

At last month’s Grand Slam France, Andrade El Idolo was confronted by Tommaso Ciampa, who challenged the Mexican heartthrob to put his AEW National Title on the line against him at WrestleDream 2026. At the pay-per-view, the Psycho Killer came quite close to dethroning the Real Latino Man, but the latter succeeded at retaining his belt after turning the challenger’s attempt at executing a sneaky illegal maneuver against him.

Since then, Ciampa has been keen to get his hands on Andrade again, attacking the latter on the October 24 edition of AEW Collision. Last week on Fright Night Dynamite, the “Blackheart” vowed to unseat the United Empire member for his belt, and called himself the Jacksonville-based promotion’s greatest signing ever. His claim, however, brought him face-to-face with the company’s latest acquisition, Ilja Dragunov, who looked to dispute his statement.

Although Ciampa refused to fight the Mad Dragon last Wednesday, he did taunt the latter from the entrance stage after Ilja’s victory against the Beast Mortos on Fright Night Collision. It appears that the former TNT Champion might face off against Dragunov soon, and their showdown would be even more high-stakes if the National Title were on the line for it. As such, Tony Khan could pull the trigger on Ciampa beating Andrade on the upcoming Jericho Cruise edition of Collision.

Such an outcome could lead to TK afterwards announcing Ciampa vs Dragunov for the AEW National Championship at Full Gear 2026, where the Czar could emerge victorious to win his first singles title in All Elite Wrestling in his inaugural pay-per-view bout in the company.
