Cody Rhodes was one of the founding members of All Elite Wrestling. He spent a good chunk of his career in the Jacksonville-based promotion from 2019 to 2022. During his time in the company, he had a memorable feud with Andrade. Recently, a person who was involved in this feud revealed a major detail from that time.
In 2021, Andrade had Jose The Assistant at ringside as his manager. The alliance helped El Idolo to pick up some major wins in All Elite Wrestling. But during his feud with Cody Rhodes, that assistance from Jose got neutralized due to Arn Anderson’s involvement in Rhodes’ corner. Often, Jose even had to take beatings from the WWE legend at ringside.
Taking to X, Jose The Assistant remembered the time when he used to get involved with Cody Rhodes and Arn Anderson for Andrade. He highlighted how it has been over five years since that phase of his life. The former AEW star even mentioned The American Nightmare in his post to reminisce about their time together on screen.
“5 years ago I spent a few weeks trying to beat up @CodyRhodes, but instead, every single time Arn Anderson would beat me up. Time flies,” wrote Jose.

Cody Rhodes will compete this weekend at Crown Jewel 2026
Cody Rhodes has been involved in some heated feuds with top WWE stars since leaving All Elite Wrestling. But for the past few months, The American Nightmare has been waging war against one of his top adversaries, Randy Orton. This weekend, the two stars will face each other in a Last Man Standing match.
Rhodes and Orton have faced each other two times in the ring this year. First, they collided at WrestleMania, where The American Nightmare picked up a strong win. Then they squared off at Saturday Night’s Main Event in September, where Orton went on to beat Rhodes using underhanded tactics.
Now the two rivals will collide in a rubber match at Crown Jewel in Riyadh. But this time it will be a Last Man Standing showdown. Crown Jewel will take place at ANB Arena in Riyadh on November 7. Only time will tell how The Prodigal Son will overcome The Apex Predator for good this weekend.
