The Nations Championship gets under way on Saturday, with Fiji and Wales facing off in Cardiff
The Nations Championship is finally here and what a few weeks of rugby we have in store.
New Zealand and France get us under way in Christchurch on Saturday morning before the Australia and Ireland lock horns.
Then eyes turn to Cardiff, where Wales – technically the away team – will face off against Fiji at Cardiff City Stadium. The Flying Fijians have decided to stage their “home” matches in the northern hemisphere in order to maximise the financial returns of their fixtures.
As such, Wales will switch from the Principality Stadium to the home of Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon.
The Nations Championship brings together teams from the Six Nations tournament and the Rugby Championship, along with Fiji and Japan.
The fixtures are split between two blocks – in summer and autumn – ending in a finals weekend at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, at the end of the year.
