Scotland are searching for a first away win against the back-to-back world champion Springboks this weekend
Scotland will bid to win an away match against South Africa when they take on the back-to-back world champions in Pretoria this weekend.
Both sides made winning starts to their Nations Championship campaign last Saturday, with Gregor Townsend’s side running in seven tries against Argentina in Cordoba.
That has taken them up to fifth in the world rankings, equalling their previous best.
As for the Springboks, it was business as usual for the world’s best team – swatting aside England in Johannesburg.
You’d have to go back to 2010 for Scotland’s last victory over the Springboks, when Dan Parks kicked them to a 21-17 win at Murrayfield.
The Boks have made 10 changes for this one, but don’t be fooled that this is a second-string outfit – with Rassie Erasmus’ side still looking terrifyingly strong.
