Brighton have signed Nigeria winger Femi Azeez from Millwall in a deal worth £12.5m – potentially rising past £15m with add-ons.

Azeez arrives at the Amex Stadium on a four-year contract and becomes Brighton‘s 11th signing of the summer window, including their club record £45m move for Tottenham centre-back Luka Vuskovic.

Azeez, 25, scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 37 games last season, earning a place in the PFA Championship team of the year.

Azeez has been pushing for a move to the Premier League, with Millwall rejecting at least three bids from Brighton in recent weeks.

His departure is a club record sale for Millwall.

Brighton said the clubs submitted a deal sheet before Tuesday’s 23:00 BST transfer deadline and concluded the deal before the extended deadline at 01:00 on Wednesday.

Azeez joined Millwall from Reading for about £1m in 2024 and has left the Den with two years left on his contract.

Brighton also signed defensive midfielder Chema Andres from Stuttgart in a deal worth £15.5m on deadline day.

Andres, 21, put pen to paper on a five-year contract at the club after the Seagulls agreed a fee with the Bundesliga outfit on deadline day.

The Spain Under-21 international made 41 appearances for Stuttgart last season after joining from Real Madrid in 2025.

Andres came through Real Madrid’s youth set-up before making his La Liga debut in January 2025.

He helped Stuttgart qualify for the Champions League in his one season at the club.

Brighton raised significant funds through player sales, including Carlos Baleba’s £70m move to Manchester United.
