Yakuza Blocks: Like a Dragon was announced in May 2025. A month later, the developers posted a sneak peek of the landscape. The official title reveal arrived in September this year, and now the full game has been released for fans of the Yakuza franchise.
Since it is a fighting game with much violence, it has earned a Moderate maturity rating. Age-checked users 16 and older can use the chat feature to communicate with other players on the map. At the moment, there are no blood effects in fights, just a feature that causes dazed enemies or player avatars to fall on the ground.
Navigating the alleys is made simple by the map on the top right side of the screen. On the map, you can find shop buildings, player locations, and the locations of gang members ready for a battle.

The alleys are teeming with thugs and gang members looking for a fight. As soon as your avatar approaches them, they turn hostile. Beat the enemies with fists and props to earn EXP for leveling up and Cash for purchasing different items.
Props and Heat Meter
During battles, you can pick up items like traffic cones and golf clubs to deal damage and knock back enemies. Compared to fists, the props do more damage.
Repeated hits on an enemy create a combo and build your Heat gauge. Once the enemy falls, you can trigger a special move that does massive damage.
Phone
The Phone is a crucial gadget for your avatar. It has various menus, including Inventory, Equipment, Upgrades, Customize, and Emotes. This gadget serves as a one-stop destination for all your needs, be it customizations, parties, or enhancements, so that your screen is not loaded with menus.
Missions
This street-action brawler has both NPC quests and daily missions. While the NPC quests can be completed at any time, the daily tasks need to be done within 24 hours. Each mission gives you EXP as well as upgrade points for your Body, Spirit, or Social skills.
