Second seed Arthur Fils will face former top 10 player Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals of the Swiss Indoors 2026.
Fils beat Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 7-6 (5), 7-5 to reach the second round, where he faced Alex Michelsen. The two met a week ago in the European Open quarterfinals and the Frenchman won in straight sets.
Michelsen was certainly out to avenge that loss and captured the opening set of their duel in Basel. Fils kept his composure and took the second set to level the match.
