AEW has suddenly made a major reference to Toni Storm as fans gear up for Blood and Guts next Wednesday.
It’s that time of year again when AEW brings fans its most violent offering: Dynamite Blood and Guts. The event features two vicious multi-person men’s and women’s matches inside two rings enclosed in a double-roofed steel cage. The show is set for next Wednesday (Nov 4). The men’s match features Will Ospreay, Darby Allin, Steven Borden, Adam Copeland, and The Young Bucks taking on Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, and Jake Doyle. On the women’s side, Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander, Harley Cameron, and the Brawling Birds take on the Triangle of Madness and the Divine Dominion.
Tony Khan has left no stone unturned in promoting Blood and Guts 2026, and a recent company move referenced last year’s participant, Toni Storm, who is currently on an unexplained hiatus from the Jacksonville-based promotion. On their official YouTube page, AEW uploaded a compilation of every single Blood and Guts match in history. Toni Storm was even on the video thumbnail.

Tony Khan delivered not-so-favorable news ahead of AEW Blood and Guts 2026
AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts 2026 was preceded by the annual Fright Night edition of the flagship show, which featured multiple blockbuster matches, including those involving the Death Riders and the newly formed Cut stable. The main event saw a new champion crowned as Queen Aminata dethroned Persephone to become the new TBS champion. Despite these developments, Tony Khan received some underwhelming news about the show’s reception.
According to Wrestlenomics, the Fright Night edition of Dynamite drew an average viewership of 620,000, down from the previous week’s 661,000. The special edition also scored a 0.14 rating in the 18-49 key demo, down slightly from the previous week’s 0.15. That said, Fright Night did go up against Game 5 of the World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers.
It will be interesting to see how Blood and Guts performs in viewership. It is certainly poised to be a success given the stacked card it features.
