A star has returned to WWE after nine years and his reported role in the company has now been revealed. No one was expecting him to show up out of the blue.
The name being discussed is none other than Darren Young. Young was last seen in the company nine years ago. He was released in 2017 and immediately joined Chikara before moving to New Japan Pro Wrestling and a brief stint with the National Wrestling Alliance.
Thanks for the submission!
He is currently a trainer with New Japan Pro Wrestling. So, it was surprising to see him pop by at the Performance Center after a long time. While the fans are talking about the return of Darren Young, Fightful Select now has an update and his reported role.
They are reporting that Young was at the Performance Center this week. However, he was only there as a guest coach and nothing else.
Darren Young breaks silence after coming back to WWE
After suddenly showing up at the Performance Center and surprising the fans, Darren Young took to Instagram and sent out a message.
He said that he was grateful to be back and that it was time to go back to work. He wrote:
“Nine years ago today, I was released from @WWE. Today, I’m back at @wwenxt, fighting back tears of joy every time I pull up to the Performance Center and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the next generation. I’m always hearing what WWE is looking for NOW I’m able to see it for myself and be a sponge in this environment. I once stood in this environment, beating on my craft alongside incredible coaches, and quickly made my way to the main roster. Now, I’m back sharing those experiences and helping shape the future. And when you talk about NXT, don’t forget the ORIGINAL NXT! MR. NO DAYS OFF baby! Nine years later, still standing, still inspiring, and STILL NO DAYS OFF! thank you for the opportunity. You know what time it is? IT’S TIME TO GO TO WORK!”
It will be interesting to see how he will be involved in the coming days and weeks in NXT.
