Apex Legends Season 31: All weapons tier list for Ranked

Alongside the Legend changes, several weapons have also been tweaked in Apex Legends Season 31. Some have been nerfed, while others have received a significant buff. With that, the weapon meta has shifted a lot from the previous season. Since a new ranked split has commenced, players might wonder about the best weapons to rank up.

In this article, we will be ranking all weapons in a tier list for Apex Legends Season 31 Ranked Leagues.

Note: Some aspects of this article are subjective and reflect the author’s opinions. We didn’t include any Care Package weapons since they aren’t part of the ground loot pool.

Apex Legends Season 31 weapons tier list for Ranked Leagues

Here is a brief description of how the ranking system of this tier list works:

Tier Name	Description
SS tier	All weapons in the SS tier lead the charts and will help you secure knockdowns effortlessly. Every single one of these weapons will allow you to dominate every match.
S tier	Although not as strong as the SS tier, all weapons in the S tier are exceptionally powerful in the ongoing season.
A tier	The weapons in the A tier are not good right after you pick them up. All require some attachments to shine on the battlefield.
B tier	B tier weapons are not impactful in any scenarios. We recommend avoiding these guns as much as you can to increase your chances of winning a match.

SS-tier

Wingman (Akimbo)

Currently, Wingman Akimbo is the best weapon to rank up in Apex Legends Season 31. Each hit deals 45 damage (90 in total), which will help you knock down an enemy in an instant. Since you can shoot while moving relatively fast, others will have a hard time tracking you, especially if you are fighting at close range.

On top of that, you don’t have to worry about running out of ammo since the weapon now uses Heavy ammo.

CAR SMG

As for secondaries, CAR SMG is still unmatched in Apex Legends Season 31. Compared to other submachine guns, this one is exceptionally consistent and can easily get knockdowns in just one magazine. Furthermore, if you ever have ammo issues, you can just switch ammo types from Heavy to Light and vice versa, which makes it a versatile weapon.

Since the CAR SMG can use both Heavy and Light ammo, it can also take Heavy and Light weapon attachments. This means you can upgrade it at any Arsenals featuring the aforementioned ammo types.

Prowler

Although hit with a nerf, Prowler is still one of the strongest SMGs in Apex Legends Season 31. The weapon works exceptionally well even without the full-auto mode. If you hit every bullet of a burst, you can easily crack the opponent’s shield and even potentially secure a knockdown.

Hence, the weapon is still just as good as it was with the Selectfire Hop-Up. If you want to rank up fast, then we recommend picking up this weapon.

Nemesis

Similar to Prowler, Nemesis was nerfed in Apex Legends Season 31. However, the devs only increased the weapon’s recoil, which isn’t very noticeable. Therefore, you can still use this Energy weapon to secure knockdowns one after another. Since the DPS of all the burst weapons is exceptionally high, Nemesis is a force to be reckoned with if you get your hands on it right after dropping.

When you unlock Turbocharger, Nemesis becomes unstoppable even in long-range fights where most Assault rifles struggle.

Hemlok Burst AR

With the commencement of Apex Legends Season 31, Hemlok became a burst-fire weapon. Now, it can use barrel attachments, meaning you can use the corrupted barrel mod on it. Although the attachment is not very good on full-auto weapons, burst-fire guns are different.

Besides that, you can easily secure knockdowns in mid-range fights since Hemlok is exceptionally stable.

S-tier

While SS-tier weapons allow you to defeat the adversaries effortlessly, you need to focus a little while using the guns in S-tier:

Flatline
Rampage
Longbow
Volt SMG
Havoc Rifle
Mastiff
L-Star
Devotion
P2020

As usual, Flatline is still a strong alternative to some ARs, while LMGs like Devotion are meant to be used as a secondary. On the other hand, Rampage is only good when you let it consume a Thermite grenade. Besides that, other weapons are fairly balanced.

A-tier

Moving on to the A-tier, these require some attachments to shine on the battlefield. In some cases, unlocking their Hop-Up works as well.

Alternator
EVA-8
Peacekeeper
R-99
Sentinel
Bocek Compound Bow
Triple Take
G7 Scout

Bocek needs Frag grenades to fully showcase its potential, while Alternator needs the Double-Tap Hop-Up. Peacekeeper is still a decent weapon but not as powerful as the ones in SS and S-tiers.

B-tier

The weapons in B-tier are simply worthless in Apex Legends Season 31. Although they can be used, they won’t help you rank up:

R-301
Charge Rifle
RE-45

The damage output of the R-301 is exceptionally low. Hence, you have to land a significant number of hits on the enemy to knock them down. RE-45 is decent but doesn’t have enough ammo to sustain a fight or two.
