Arsenal handed boost in signing Chelsea star

Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez with Real Madrid distancing themselves from the World Cup winner.

Fernandez is determined to leave Chelsea during the ongoing transfer window, and his agent, Javier Pastore, has personally claimed that he would like to join Los Blancos.

However, Madrid have today ruled out a move for Fernandez in an official statement, thereby ending the prospect of the midfielder moving to the Bernabéu.

Fernandez is still expected to move on from the Blues, and Arsenal could be handed a huge boost. They have already gathered some information on his availability.

Manchester City are likewise keen on the former Benfica man, and Chelsea will hope for a bidding war such that they can secure a proper fee from the midfielder’s exit.

They are looking for around £120m to part ways with the 25-year-old, but may have to lower their demands slightly with clubs aware that the midfielder wants to depart.
