A former WWE champion made some unhinged moves on AEW Dynamite this week, prompting a shocked reaction from Austin Creed.
Austin Creed and his tag partner Kofi (formerly of The New Day) rebranded as the New Level and made their highly anticipated AEW debuts at All In 2026, winning the World Trios titles alongside Swerve Strickland. The trio then lost the titles back to the team they dethroned: Hangman Page, Bandido, and Brody King. This six-man feud took a dangerous turn when Strickland proposed a Texas Deathmatch for their Trios World Title rematch, shocking his partners and Hangman Page. However, the former WWE NXT North American champion escalated things last night by committing a heinous move.
On this week’s Dynamite: Fright Night edition, the new Flavor brutally attacked Bandido backstage and sent a video message showcasing his actions, forcing the issue over the Deathmatch. The Cowboy has repeatedly rejected the stipulation to protect his partners and opponents from this extreme violence, but this move may have pushed him over the edge. Strickland’s teammate Austin Creed had a shocking reaction to the development, which she shared on X, writing:
“WE JUST GOT HERE.”
His post on X can be seen below:
Creed and Kofi mentioned on Dynamite that they are shocked by their partner’s actions, as their sole purpose in coming to AEW was to face good competition and go home safe. However, it seems they have gotten caught in the vortex of madness Strickland orchestrated.
Austin Creed recently teased reforming Da Party in AEW
Austin Creed being a huge video game head is well known to many who have followed his journey as a professional wrestler. The erstwhile Xavier Woods runs a YouTube gaming channel called UpUpDownDown and is also credited with forming Da Party, the four-man streaming group in WWE, including him, Tyler Breeze, Adam Cole, and Claudio Castagnoli.
In a recent interview with Fightful, the host pointed out that three of Da Party’s four members are currently in AEW. In response, Creed agreed and said there could be a chance of some sort of reform.
“You are correct. None of the DaParty members are currently signed with WWE. That leads me to believe there is at least a chance something can happen, something can be created. I cannot confirm or deny. If anyone has been filming anything or creating assets for a new YouTube channel, I will not confirm or deny it. I will not,” said Creed.
It will be interesting to see whether Creed can eventually form an AEW-specific gaming group during his tenure with the company.
