The Loïs Openda RTTK SBC is now live in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team, giving you a great chance to add the rapid Olympique Lyonnais forward to your squad. If you enjoy counter-attacking football, this Road to the Knockouts special item brings serious speed and versatility to your frontline.
Since you only have a limited window to unlock this dynamic card before the challenge disappears, managing your club resources wisely is crucial. Here is the cheapest and fastest solution I recommend to complete the challenge, along with my honest breakdown of whether he deserves a spot in your starting eleven.
Completing the Loïs Openda RTTK SBC in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team
You need to hit a 96,000 Item Score requirement by submitting player items to unlock this special card in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team. Because the Loïs Openda RTTK SBC is only available for a week, I suggest checking your untradeable storage first so you can save as many coins as possible. Below is the cheapest and fastest Loïs Openda RTTK SBC solution:
- 4x 86-rated Gold card: 5,500 Coins each
- 38x 85-rated Gold card: 1,900 Coins each
You can easily acquire the above cards for a total of around 94,200 FUT Coins at the Transfer Market. However, you can easily trim the total cost down by mixing in duplicate untradeable 85-rated and 86-rated items or higher-rated and other fodder cards from your club.

Is the Loïs Openda RTTK card worth it?
Looking closely at the 85-rated special card, I believe completing the Loïs Openda RTTK SBC is well worth the effort if your EA FC 27 squad needs an explosive attacker. His standout attribute is a blistering 95 Pace, which pairs with the Rapid and Quick Step PlayStyles to leave defenders trailing. Inside the box, his 83 Shooting feels very clinical thanks to 88 Attacking Positioning, 85 Finishing, 87 Shot Power, and 81 Volleys, even if 75 Long Shots and 76 Penalties are modest. Add in the Finesse Shot and Low Driven Shot PlayStyles, and you get a striker who finishes chances reliably with his 4-Star Weak Foot.
On the ball, his 83 Dribbling stat is backed by 86 Agility, 88 Balance, 80 Reactions, 80 Ball Control, 83 in-game Dribbling, and 83 Composure. While having 3-Star Skill Moves limits complex skill chains, the Press Proven PlayStyle helps you shield the ball smoothly under heavy pressure. He also holds his own physically with 79 Physical, while his 32 Defending includes a surprising 80 Heading Accuracy alongside 31 Defensive Awareness, 28 Interceptions, 25 Stand Tackle, and 20 Slide Tackle. His 72 Passing features 79 Short Pass, 75 Curve, 72 Vision, 72 Crossing, 62 Long Pass, and 55 FK Accuracy, which is plenty for quick one-two link-up play.
What really elevates this card for me in EA FC 27 is his positional versatility, as he boasts All Roles++ across ST, LW, LM, and CAM. You can slot him into almost any formation and he will make intelligent AI runs immediately without awkward tactical compromises. Because of his passing splits, I prefer deploying him as a central striker or an inside forward on the left wing rather than a primary playmaker at CAM.
Beyond his current numbers, his Road to the Knockouts live upgrade path makes the Loïs Openda RTTK SBC a smart long-term investment. Depending on how Openda and Olympique Lyonnais perform in the UEFA Europa League, he will earn a +1 PlayStyle if OL win 3 League Phase matches, followed by +1 PAC and +1 SHO if the club scores in 3 different matches. If Lyon finish in the top 8 of the League Phase, he also receives a +1 OVR boost that will keep him competitive for months.

If you have spare 85-rated and 86-rated fodder sitting in your club, I highly recommend unlocking Loïs Openda before the challenge expires in a week. With 95 Pace, elite attacking PlayStyles, All Roles++ across four positions, and realistic Europa League upgrades on the horizon, he is a lethal addition to any Ultimate Team attack.
