BREAKING: Major WWE RAW match seemingly canceled, Adam Pearce announcement coming

A major match scheduled for WWE RAW appears to have been canceled hours before the show. The October 26 edition of Monday Night RAW is set to air live from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Becky Lynch vs. Stephanie Vaquer might not happen on WWE RAW

Stephanie Vaquer suffered an ankle injury during her unsuccessful Women’s World Championship defense against Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan at Money in the Bank. On the RAW after the premium live event, La Primera was seen on crutches, and it was revealed that she was receiving treatment.

During a backstage segment last week on the red brand’s show, medical staff indicated that Stephanie Vaquer’s ankle required one more week to fully heal before she could set foot inside the squared circle. However, Becky Lynch confronted her and convinced Adam Pearce and Vaquer to agree to a number one contender’s match for the Women’s World Championship, given she passed her medical evaluation.

Later in the week, the Stamford-based promotion’s official social media handles shared a video of Stephanie Vaquer throwing away her crutches and revealing that she had been medically cleared and was ready to wrestle Becky Lynch on RAW. Adam Pearce soon made the match official.

However, moments ago, WWE’s official X (fka Twitter) handle posted an update suggesting that the match might not take place tonight on RAW. It was noted that the RAW General Manager will address everything regarding Stephanie Vaquer’s medical availability due to the injury. After advertising the match for the show, the only possible reason behind the tweet seems to be that La Primera isn’t medically cleared yet. In that case, the match will not take place.

“🚨 🚨 🚨 Questions have arisen regarding Stephanie Vaquer’s medical availability heading into #WWERaw, Adam Pearce will address everything on tonight’s show. 📍: Fresno, CA 🎟️: https://t.co/XvOhUdqV8X 📺: 8 ET/5 PT on @netflix” / X,” read the tweet.

While there is uncertainty regarding the number one contender’s match for the Women’s World Championship, IYO SKY is scheduled to wrestle Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in a non-title match.

Elsewhere on the card, Bayley will compete against Lyra Valkyria in a no-disqualification match. WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable will also join forces with Dragon Lee to take on the unlikely duo of Ethan Page and Big Cass.
