A popular WWE SmackDown Superstar is reportedly set to open the upcoming edition of Monday Night RAW. The show is set to air live from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.
According to Viper Reports, the early rundown for RAW lists Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn as the opening segment. He is scheduled to wrestle Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel, and the two exchanged words last week on the red brand’s show.
Thanks for the submission!
Notably, the OTC isn’t scheduled to make an appearance on the October 26 edition of Monday Night RAW. So it will be interesting to see what The Underdog From the Underground has to say in Reigns’ absence. Mr. Money in the Bank, Penta, might be the one to confront Sami Zayn tonight.
Sami Zayn spoke about facing Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel
Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns will battle it out at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District on November 7 for the WWE Crown Jewel Championship.
During his appearance on Busted Open last month, Sami Zayn was asked about potentially facing Roman Reigns at the premium live event. The 42-year-old was excited about the idea of wrestling his former stablemate and noted that it would be “awesome.” He further opined that the storytelling leading up to the match would be incredible.
“Man, I think that would be awesome. And I think the storytelling on the way to that would be incredible. You talk about Roman, if you want to talk about something that’s just been reinforced, that’s what it is, his act is so bulletproof and airtight because he understands what he’s trying to accomplish. We all understand what he’s trying to accomplish,” he said. [H/T: F4WOnline]
Roman Reigns will be heading into Crown Jewel full of confidence, having won all his matches this year. Only time will tell if Sami Zayn can put an end to The Tribal Chief’s winning streak at the premium live event.
