AEW star Will Ospreay will face a huge test next month as he takes on the company’s best star. The Aerial Assassin won the AEW World Championship at All In. He also took on Jon Moxley and Kazuchika Okada in the first few weeks after winning the world title. At WrestleDream, he defended his title against seven other hungry contenders in Clockwork Carnage. At Full Gear, he will battle his old nemesis.
Kyle Fletcher and Billy Goat have a long history. The two were great friends but are now fierce enemies. The duo have fought each other four times so far. Only one of those four matches has been on Dynamite. Every other match was a high-stakes contest and was part of a pay-per-view. Last week, the Protostar defeated Ospreay in a tag team match.
Tonight at Fright Night Dynamite, Kyle Fletcher defeated Jack Perry and demanded a match against Will Ospreay, as he defeated the world champion last week. Later during the show, the match was made official for Full Gear.
AEW star Will Ospreay wants to face Ilja Dragunov
While speaking on Takedown on SI, Will Ospreay said he wants to face the Conductor of Violence, as he would make a huge money match.
“Dragunov was someone that performed on wXw for a fair bit of time, and there have been shows that we’ve been on, we’ve been on the same shows together, but we have never shared a ring with one another…Hearing that there’s potential that he is coming in is exciting because I’m sure if you bring him in and you keep us on separate sides of the roster and build us both up, it could generally be like a big money-drawing singles match that could main event any show anywhere in the world,” said Ospreay.
It will be interesting to see what is next for the former AEW World Champion, as he will also be entering the Blood and Guts match next week.
