Bobby Lashley is one of the most dominant in-ring competitors in modern history. He is currently signed to AEW, where he is a member of the Hurt Syndicate. This faction, apart from him, consists of MVP and Shelton Benjamin. Lashley is celebrating a big occasion today.
Bobby Lashley made his AEW debut exactly two years ago on Fright Night Dynamite 2024. He unexpectedly showed up and then, along with his Hurt Syndicate teammates, brutally attacked Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. Fans in attendance gave a thunderous reaction to the Almighty’s debut in the promotion.
Congratulations to Bobby Lashley for making his AEW debut today, two years ago. His time so far in the company has been average. Even though he and Benjamin have held the World Tag Team Titles once, Tony Khan has underutilized him.
The Almighty is worthy of winning the AEW World Championship. Everything depends on his booking. Hopefully, it will improve going forward.
Bobby Lashley praised the reigning AEW World Champion, Will Ospreay
In a recent appearance on the Mega Powers podcast, Lashley showered Will Ospreay with praise. He said that the World Champion has the potential to a massive star.
“Will Ospreay really, and it’s not just because it’s y’all, he’s a- unless there’s something else that I don’t know, my interaction with him, and I’ve seen how he does stuff, very respectful, and that’s why people get behind him. Think of how big of a star you can make him. Think of how f*cking big of a star you can make him. He checks all the boxes, even on other places that may not say, that’s the guy. Yes, he is! He’s that dude that you can get behind. I’m not to disrespect anybody. It’s way more than that. When you talk about a pure baby face that didn’t get behind, he’s simple enough. I think a little twist in here, and then the right heel that can bring him f*cking down and make him have to fight out of it.” he said. [H/T: Fightful]
A potential Lashey vs. Ospreay match could be great. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for both men.
