Isaak Davies has become the latest player to be added to Cardiff City’s growing list of injuries, with the Wales international forward ruled out for four weeks with a hamstring issue.

Head coach Brian Barry-Murphy revealed after Saturday’s 3-0 Championship defeat at Wolves that there were fresh fitness concerns over defenders Will Fish and Perry Ng, as well as midfielder Alex Robertson.

Cardiff went to Molineux already missing centre-backs Dylan Lawlor, Callum Chambers, Krystian Bielik and the suspended Gabriel Osho.

The Bluebirds ended the game with midfielder Joel Colwill and winger Ollie Tanner as emergency full-backs, though there was a welcome return for playmaker Rubin Colwill.

Cardiff have precious little time to ease their injury worries as they are back in Championship action on Wednesday at home to West Ham, who sacked manager Nuno Espirito Santo on Tuesday.

“We’ll check on Krystian today [Tuesday] in training. We think he has a chance,” said Barry-Murphy.

“Rubin obviously was a big positive for us on Saturday to come back and feel so good after his appearance on the bench. Isaak Davies has a hamstring injury. He won’t be fit.

“Perry didn’t train yesterday, seems OK. We’re hopeful on him. Alex Robertson and Will Fish again both didn’t train yesterday so we’ll check on them today.”

Forward Callum Robinson was left out of the matchday squad for a third successive game at Wolves.

Barry-Murphy confirmed the Republic of Ireland international was not suspended but would not explain why he continues not to select him.

Asked if he could elaborate, the Cardiff boss added: “No. I’ll always try and be as transparent as possible with every question that I’m asked on behalf of the supporters, but it’s already been discussed.”
