Penumbral Escape in Genshin Impact is a World Quest in The Crystal City in the Gorge’s Depths series. During the quest, you must defeat several enemies, destroy Blightkristalls, and shut down the Shadow Realm. It is a fairly short and easy quest, and completing it will give you Primogems, Mora, and other upgrade materials.

How to complete the Penumbral Escape quest in Genshin Impact

Destroy the Blightkristall

The Penumbral Escape quest automatically starts when you enter the Shadow Realm at the end of the Awake and Sing, Ye Sleepers in the Dust quest in Genshin Impact. The first thing you must do is obtain some ammo and destroy the black crystal by hitting the glowing part.

Go near the minecart and leave

Get on the minecart and leave. While you’re on it, several enemies will spawn and attack you. You can use your firearm to defeat all of them. Keep going until you reach the collapsed track.

Defeat the enemies that have emerged

Defeat the corrupted Volkodlak and take her minecart to move forward. Keep defeating all the enemies that try to stop you.

Go to the high platform

After you crash your cart, open the Luxurious Chest and use the Link Mechanism to go to the higher platform. Once there, you’ll find more ammo and a new firearm blueprint.

Reach the location of the Shadow Realm Core and defeat the powerful enemy

Head to the core area to find a Snegovik. Destroy its shield by using Pyro attacks. This will stun the mini-boss, and some black crystals will spawn. Destroy them and defeat the Fatui enemies hiding the crystals. Once that is done, the mini-boss will be active again, and you must defeat it.

Destroy the black crystal core

Use the grappling points to go up and destroy the black crystal core. Once done, you’ll be teleported back to the normal world.

Talk to Koshkin

Finally, talk to Koshkin to complete the Penumbral Escape quest in Genshin Impact. As a reward, you’ll get the following:

30 Primogems
22,300 Mora
2 Hero’s Wit
3 Mystic Enhancement Ore
