AEW star Megan Bayne is one of the most dominant competitors in the Jacksonville-based company. She is a former AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion and is destined to hold the Women’s World Title. She will compete on this week’s Blood & Guts TV special and she sent a huge warning ahead of the show.
Megan Bayne shared a video on social media media a few hours ago where she explained what glory meant. She told her opponents that when the Blood & Guts match ends, they will not be remembered for their courage but for how badly they were defeated.
“Glory isn’t given to those who merely step onto the battlefield. It is claimed by those who are ruthless enough to take it. Titles, reputation, and false courage are all meaningless when steel meets flesh and the battlefield is soaked in blood…so go ahead. Bring everything. When this war is over, it will not remember how fiercely you fought. It will remember how magnificently you fell,” she said.
The Women’s Blood and Guts match will see Triangle of Madness (Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue), Divine Dominion (Lena Kross and Megan Bayne), and Persephone taking on the Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor), Wrathlander (Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander), Willow Nightingale, and Queen Aminata. Fans are expecting this match to deliver.
AEW star Megan Bayne reveals the wrestlers who inspired her
In a recent interview with the Pop Break, Megan Bayne named Chyna, Beth Phoenix, Mike Awesome and Brock Lesnar as her biggest inspiration.
“I would say the obvious ones are Chyna and Beth Phoenix, who were game changers, in my opinion, as far as setting a standard for women’s wrestling goes, and especially in the time period that they were paving their way. But then, outside of women’s wrestling, I really liked Mike Awesome or Brock Lesnar or athletes who can be big and strong and kill you with ease but also can be athletic and agile and do the more visually exciting, not necessarily acrobatics, but who could just have the best of both worlds,” said the AEW star.
Only time will tell what the future holds the Megasus. Hopefully, she will end this year strong.
