Bayley’s WWE future has become a cause of concern among fans as she nears her contract expiration. An update on her status with the company has surfaced online, and it seems to have set the record straight on AEW speculation.

On the October 31 edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer said Bayley is unlikely to leave WWE for AEW anytime soon.

Thanks for the submission!

Meltzer suggested that he is “pretty sure” the Role Model will stay put, regardless of her contract situation.

“Her deal’s up. I’m pretty much sure she’s not going to AEW. Not 100 sure, but pretty sure, and we’ll see what happens.”

The situation surrounding her contract status has been unclear for months. Fightful Select previously reported her deal is expected to lapse at the end of 2026 unless WWE adds an injury time.

Bryan Alvarez learned that her contract will run through January 2027, and PWInsider indicated that she had plenty of time left. Interestingly, her friend Mercedes Moné has kept the chatter about a potential AEW move alive through recent teases.

Bayley culminated her rivalry with Lyra Valkyria on WWE RAW

Bayley spent the past few weeks telling Lyra Valkyria things were not over between them until she said it’s over. On the October 26 episode of Raw in Fresno, she closed her chapter with Lyra Valkyria in a No Disqualification match.

Chairs, kendo sticks, a trash can, and a table all came into play. During the closing moments of the match, Bayley locked in a crossface with a kendo stick across Lyra Valkyria’s face, forcing her opponent to tap out.

It was her first win in three meetings with the Irishwoman, who had beaten her at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden in July and then again on RAW in September.

Her post-match message on X ran to three words: “Women’s Wrestling Entertainment.”

It fit a night when three of Raw’s five matches were women’s bouts, including Liv Morgan’s Women’s World Championship defense against Becky Lynch.

It will be interesting to see what the company has in store for The Role Model as Crown Jewel fast approaches.
