How to restore Kliff's youth after Crimson Desert ending (Dimensional Bonds guide)

If you complete Crimson Desert’s final Abyss Island puzzle, Dimensional Bonds, you’re rewarded with Kliff regaining his youth. What makes this puzzle a challenge isn’t necessarily the Abyss Island itself; it’s that you need to spend a lot of time up in the sky, completing puzzles. In fact, you need to complete every other Abyss Island chain in the game first.

You also need to be at the end of the game or in the post-game, if you want to truly complete Dimensional Bonds in Crimson Desert. While you do explore this area briefly before the final boss, it’s not the whole of the Abyss Island. If you want to know what to do, we’re here to help.

How to unlock Dimensional Bonds Abyss Island puzzle in Crimson Desert

In order to even begin Dimensional Bonds in Crimson Desert so you can restore Kliff’s youth, you need to complete all 39 other Abyss Island puzzles first. You can check this in-game, by going to your menu, selecting Journal, Challenges, Exploration, and finally, The Abyss. If you’ve done them all, and you’re at least on A Shadow in the Void (the game’s final main story mission), you can tackle Dimensional Bonds.

This Abyss Island is in the center of the map, and by reaching the final story mission, you should have at least one fast travel point to this part of the upper map. You can see one of them in the image above.

How to complete Dimensional Bonds Abyss Island puzzle in Crimson Desert

If you want to restore the youth of Kliff in Crimson Desert, you need to first finish all 39 Abyss Island puzzles, as well as reach the end of the game. Once you’ve done this, head to the Dimensional Bonds Abyss Island. Each other island has a fast travel point that leads to the center island, so it’s easy to get here.

You just have to return to the end of those other islands, and activate the Skybridge, so the connection to the center will be created. Below are all the objectives you need to complete to wrap up this puzzle. I also recommend lots of Stamina, and as many Flight upgrades as you can get. The distances you have to travel can be pretty long while in the air.

1) Restore the Pulse of Clockwork

Restore the Pulse of Clockwork is on the right side, as you can see above. It’s very easy to reach, because it’s literally right in front of you. From the fast travel, just fly straight ahead, and you’ll see a button open up on a stone slab before you.

Just grapple to it and Force Palm it, and you’re done! That’s really all you’re doing to complete Dimensional Bonds in Crimson Desert. Finding a button on each island and pushing it with Force Palm.

2) Restore the Pulse of the Sun

The reason we’re skipping the Pulse of Frost is that it’s much lower down, geographically speaking. So we’re going to press the buttons that are on this height level first, to make things a little less stressful. Instead, we head northwest to the Pulse of the Sun to progress in our quest to restore Kliff’s youth in Crimson Desert.

If you have fast travel for all the locations, you can just fast travel to this island, and fly south to find the button. Otherwise you’re gliding across a lot of open air. The choice is yours, though. Grapple the button, Force Palm, and you’ll be ready to move on to the next objective.

3) Restore the Pulse of the Ringing Truth

The next step is to our southwest in Crimson Desert, and that’s to Restore the Pulse of the Ringing Truth. Once again, we’re skipping the puzzles on lower elevations.

If you took the time to get all the fast travels, this is largely irrelevant, but it’s worth pointing out in case you just want to fly to each point on the island. You can find the button on the pedestal in the center. Just Force Palm it, and you’ll get credit and can move on with this challenge.

4) Restore the Pulse of Jijeong Temple

We’re heading southeast next, to Restore the Pulse of Jijeong Temple in Crimson Desert. If you head to the eastern edge of the previous island, you can see a large stone structure under a roof.

You just have to fly over, and punch the button, which can be found on the eastern side of that stone pedestal. It’s just like all the other ones, so it shouldn’t be a challenge to find.

5) Restore the Pulse of Insight

It’s time to drop down to the lower levels of this puzzle in Crimson Desert! Just look at the image below as to where you need to drop. We’re heading northwest, but dropping to the platforms on the lower elevation of this Abyss Island. You can see the button you need to press clearly from the fast travel point as well.

6) Restore the Pulse of Soaring

Continuing northwest, we’re heading to the island we skipped earlier, to Restore the Pulse of Soaring in Crimson Desert. Just fast travel to the island and head to its center area, or fly over using the Aerial Roll technique.

Thankfully, the Stamina costs are much lower in the current iteration of the game, so you don’t have to stress as much about running out of Stamina. After this, there’s just one more button to push!

7) Restore the Pulse of Frost

The last pulse, Pulse of Frost, is found on that very first island we skipped, which is now to the east of us. Just head over to where you see the circle in the image above, and then press the button on the huge stone pedestal. If you’ve pressed all the others with Force Palm, you can head into the center area.

8) Go into the center of Dimensional Bonds

After the cutscene, you will head into the center of the Dimensional Bonds Abyss Island in Crimson Desert. As a reward, you’ll receive 10 Abyss Artifacts, and Kliff will automatically be restored to his more youthful appearance.

If you’re on PC, and you prefer the older look, you can mod it back in. If you’re like me and playing on PS5, you can always complete the trial, and revert to a previous save to get Old Kliff back.
