“I don’t appreciate being used as a weapon to attack someone”: Atrioc responds to Pokimane’s recent comments about him

Twitch streamer Brandon “Atrioc” has responded to Imane “Pokimane”‘s recent comments about him, saying that he doesn’t “appreciate being used as a weapon to attack someone.” For context, on October 25, 2026, Pokimane stated that she feels a “lot of discomfort and anxiety” after seeing Atrioc’s name and face pop up.

On October 26, 2026, Imane shared a detailed post on X, in which she stated that she was “uncomfortable” and “publicly humiliated” after Brandon was “caught looking at paywalled deepfake content of female streamers.”

During a livestream on the same day, Atrioc responded to Pokimane by saying that her “feelings are totally valid”:

“I’m not fighting. I’m not pushing back on any of it. Those feelings are totally valid. Sincerely. I have no problem with someone saying that. Listen, my position from the beginning is that I looked at a ******* deepfake website on January 26, 2023 – it was a bad thing to do. I wish I didn’t do it. I’ve never stood up for it. I’ve never tried to defend myself. I’ve never tried to downplay it. It was ******* bad. If that makes you uncomfortable… it’s totally valid. It is 100% valid. I have never ever disagreed with that.”

Furthermore, Atrioc stated that his actions “sent a hurricane through his own life,” and that he had been “trying brick by brick to rebuild” his life.

The Twitch streamer added:

“I mean, yeah, I don’t know what particularly prompted this now, but it is a valid feeling, whenever. And I am just doing my best in the small little circle I’m in to rebuild trust. I think of it like I sent a hurricane through my own life, based on my own actions, and I’ve been trying brick by brick to rebuild it. That’s all I’m trying to do. I’ve been out of drama. I don’t say names. I am just here doing my content, doing my own thing. That is literally all I am doing. So, I don’t appreciate being used as a weapon to attack someone; that’s not what I am about. It’s just not.”

“I don’t know if that’s going to make someone uncomfortable” – Atrioc says he dropped out of his TwitchCon 2026 panel

During the same livestream on October 26, 2026, while responding to Pokimane’s recent statements about him, Atrioc stated that he had withdrawn from his TwitchCon 2026 panel.

He elaborated:

“I was planning to go to TwitchCon this year. I was on a panel. I reached out this morning, and I dropped out because I don’t know if that’s going to make someone uncomfortable. That feels like the only area that I would go where there would be crossover, and so I’m just not going to go there, and that’s fine. I think that’s totally fine. That’s fine, I would prefer it, I’m trying to not get in the way of anything. Okay? I’m trying to not get in the way of anything, I’m trying to make the content that I make, I have an audience that likes it, I have a few close friends, and I think that’s fair.”

Atrioc went on to say that he would “disavow anyone who is trying to use this stuff to attack people”:

“I disavow anyone, at all, who is trying to use this stuff to attack people or be part of a larger streamer or culture war that is way above my head and way outside of my zone; that’s not what I’m in. Okay? That’s it.”

As of this writing, Pokimane has not responded to Atrioc’s recent statements.
